ICDDR,B invites applications from suitable candidates for the
position of Electrical Assistant with the Electrical & Telecommunication
Engineering Unit of Infrastructure Services under the Executive Director's
Division at Dhaka. The appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis
for 2 years, which may be extended for further period depending on availability
of funds and satisfactory performance.
Salary - Annual Tk.137,440/- inclusive of house rent
and conveyance allowances with other admissible benefits.
Benefits/facilities - 14.8% retirement fund contribution by the Centre,
Children allowance @Tk.1,420/- per child per month, medical facilities for
dependent spouse and children, free group life insurance, and subsidized
transport, canteen, day care facilities.
Job Profile
·
Carryout roster
duty independently;
·
Assist in
maintenance, servicing and repair work on electrical and refrigeration works
etc. as per instructions and with minimum supervision;
·
Perform cleaning
of working area and keep working tools arid equipments cleaned and in proper
working condition at all times;
·
Trouble shoot
minor electrical problems beyond office hour;
·
Assist the
mechanic responsible for the operation of Sasakawa Auditorium.
Requirements
·
SSC or Class-VIII
passed with Trade Course on Electrical or Automobile;
·
Minimum 3 years
working experiences in any renowned organization;
·
Should have good
knowledge about Substation and Generator;
·
Able to perform
work following standard procedures without any assistance;
·
Must be
physically fit to work in standing, lifting
and able to work under stress;
·
Able to speak and
understand basic English;
·
Able to perform
shifting duties and work beyond normal office hours including weekends and
holidays if required.
