ACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
ICDDR,B invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Plumber with the Civil Engineering Unit of Infrastructure Services under the
Executive Director's Division at Dhaka. The appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for 2
years, which may be extended for further period depending on availability of
funds and satisfactory performance.
Salary - Annual Tk.194,710/-
inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances with other admissible
benefits.

Job Profile
·
Install all plumbing fixtures, water and gas lines;
·
Ensure regular water supply at the offices and Hospital;
·
Repair and ensure proper maintenance of autoclave, water heater,
distilled water plant and automatic water pump controller;
·
Ensure proper disposal of sewerage, storm & wastewater;
·
Submit report on the work done and check the quality of materials and
perform other duties as requested by the supervisor and if needed be round the
clock.
·
Must take good care of the equipments and the materials;
·
Ensure own safety as well as others at the time of work and operating
with the power tools;
·
Ensure quality of works by making accurate estimates and measurements as
per drawing of related works;
Requirements
·
SSC/Class-VIII passed with Trade Course;
·
Minimum 3 years working experiences in any renowned organization;
·
Knowledge of doing all types of plumbing and sewer line work;
·
Skills in operation and maintenance of water pump, autoclave, distilled
water plant, water heater and other power tools;
·
Able to make and understand sanitary and water supply drawing;
·
Able to understand engineering drawing;
·
Able to perform work following standard procedures without any
assistance;
·
Must be physically fit to work in standing, lifting and be able to work
under stress;
·
Able to understand English to some extent; -Willing to perform shifting
duties and work beyond normal office hours including weekends and holidays.
